The last hip hop dance with Izzy

 

Today was Izzys last hip hop dance. When we got to the hall we sat down and waited for Izzys instructions.  After that she teached us a dance and after we learned it Izzy put everyone into groups and there were group one two and three. After she put us into our groups she chose the first group to do the dance and then after when every group did the dance she told all the girls to do the dance and we did. Then after that she told three girls to stay there because they did the dance well and then she told the boys to dance and she chose two boys to stay up as well. After that Izzy told the whole class to do the dance and we all did and then after that she gave our teacher certificits to give to us and we also had to thank her for teaching us hip hop dances. We had so much fun and we all enjoyed doing hip hop.

I have remained the same because I still need to practise my division and  groupings within 100s. This is term 4 and I am still on stage 5 I will have to practise everyday at home to move up to stage 6. My target is to get 100% on stage 5 to move to stage 6 and the only way I can get 100% is by practising everyday at home.

Basic facts T4W1

Today I did my first basic facts assessment for term 4. I am disappointed with my results because I keep getting the same result. I have remained the same because I have to practise my maths everyday at home so when I do my basic facts I will know it like that. I have to learn my division and groupings within 100s so that I can move to a stage 6 and not stay on a stage 5. At the end of the year I hope to be a stage stage 6 by getting 100% on stage 5.

Project:Composting and Worm farming

This term my group of Phoenix, Paerau and L.J Made this project. Our inquiry investigation question was What are earthworms and how do earthworms turn the soil and we also had to answer the questions so that we know about it.

First, we used the internet to research our topic. Then we constructed this project. I did the rain by using paper to make the rain and then after that I made it into a circle and made another circle to turn it into a rain then I glued it and taped it so it doesn’t come of.  We used paper, tape and glue for our project and we also painted our earthworms red and blue. Then after that we put the earthworms on the sides and we put the fruit scraps onto the bottom and we had to make a tunnel to show how earthworms turn the soil.

What was easy? What was difficult? Making the rain and earthworms was easy. Making the tunnel was difficult.

How did this help your learning? This helped my learning by learning facts about earthworms and how earthworms turn the soil because when my teacher asks me one fact about earthworms I will know one fact about it.

What would you like to investigate next? I would like to investigate about the same thing because I really liked learning about earthworms.

I have gone backwards because I still need to learn my divisions and groupings within 100s. I need to move to stage 6 because I have been on stage 5 since term 1 and this is week 10. Next term I hope to move to stage 6 and the only way to move to stage 6 is to learn my division and groupings within 100s. My target is to get 100% on stage 5 to move to stage 6.I will also have to learn my division and grouping within 100s with my mum dad or my siblings.

Mathematics, E-asttle

Today we did our e-asttle test and it was reading and  I got a 3P and I have improved because some were very easy and it was that difficult. Yesterday when we did our maths test I got 2B because it was very difficult and not that hard for just a little bit hard for me.

Today on my basic facts I got 65% on stage 5 I have not improved because I still need to learn my division and groupings within 100s everyday at home. My target is to get 100% on stage 5 to move to stage 6. This is week 9 and I am still on stage 5 the only way how I’m supposed to move to stage 6 is by practising and learning what I don’t know and I can also get my sibling or my mum or dad to help me with my maths. Next term I hope I get 100% so I can go to move from a stage 5 to a stage 6.

Tongan language week

Today is tongan language week and we are celebrating it by doing something in the hall this afternoon. Mrs Tuakoi has been coming to our class and taught noun tongan people how to say some tongan words like hello, thank you, I am fine thank you and other words. I think that they are getting better and better at it. And Mrs Tuakoi made Tongan food for the whole school to taste.

Daffodil Day

I remember when my aunt died of cancer because she was having pain in her back and in her stomach then when she went to the hospital she was still feeling pain then after a month in hospital the doctors have told us that she had died.

Maths T3W6 fraction game

I was playing a game of matching fractions.  I had match ¾ with words three quarters and a picture that showed three quarters.  This game was difficult for me because It was hard and a little bit easy.

Next , I would like to learn how to match fractions and improper fraction and I will practise it everyday so when I play the game again I will know it.

After lunch we all lined up and we had to sit down because Mr Naidoo was showing about bokashi. Then he got two buckets one bucket had a hole underneath and the other bucket had no holes underneath then after that he got a bag of bokashi and he opened it and poured some into his hands and poured it into the bucket and then he put the fruit scraps into the bucket after that we went back to class.

This photo is about when my class went to Te Tuhi. When we arrived at Te Tuhi we went inside and we went to go and sit down and wait. Then when we were waiting a lady came and her name was Salome and she took us into a room and we sat on a chair and on the table there was a card and we made a 3D card and we could put lots of pictures on it and we could even write our name on it to.

Pak n save

 

My writing is about when my class went to pak n save. On Thursday the 13th of August my class went to pak n save and met Adele from the heart foundation and we hope to go there again sometime and we want to say thank you for teaching us about healthy food and we really enjoyed learning about healthy food.

Food thought 31 July 2018

Today we had a lady come inside to our classroom and her name is Adele and she was here to talk about health food.She came to room 8 so that we can have a health heart.Adele was for a reason and that reason is about taking care.

Adele was here to help us to eat health and to keep strong.She was here to make sure that we have health feeling.She told us about health feeling and a health heart.

Adele showed us the drinks and if it was health or not.Adele gave us some of her card and she said to put them into the right precision.So that means that you have to put the water in the right spots and put the drinks with the sugar inside and put the juice in the right spot too.

Now for the next one is about the V.In the V it has cafe inside and it is not good for the kid and not even allowed for the kids.V has a lot of sugar inside it.When you drink V to much you can get so sick and need to go to the doctor.

Adele said that you can get sick from from lollies and fizzy drinks. V is not good for you because it gives you diabetes.

NZ Prime Minister

Congratulation to the Prime Minister of New Zealand.

We made a design for allocentric people if you don’t know what allocentric is I will explain it to you. Allocentric is like when people take risk holiday like for (E.G Jumping off the cliff.) We also had to make your Sky Tower out of paper. I enjoyed making the tower out of paper.

Mice Pies

                                                                      

Today we were making mince pies. It was easy to make. First you get the pastry then you put tomato  sauce on it then you put the mince on it then you put water on the side and on the top then you fold it and then you get a fork and you press it down and then you fold it and you poke the fork in the middle then you put the egg juice on. When you are finished you put it in  the oven and you eat it when it is done.
